December 20, 2021: Last Supper Effect

If you find yourself feeling a little out of control around food this time of year, I want you to know that’s a super normal psychological response to restriction mindset. “Restriction mindset? But I’m eating everything!” — sure, but in your mind you’re telling yourself some for of, “Jan 1, I’ll ‘be good.’” - which is mental restriction.

You’re currently experiencing what’s called the Last Supper Effect, eating as much of your favorite “off-limits” foods as possible before you “can’t eat them anymore.”

But it doesn’t have to feel this way. This time of year doesn’t have to feel this way.
